What is bottle top dispenser?

There is a kind of instrument that often use in laboratories. However, there is one instrument that is almost always necessary for experiments with liquids, and that is the bottle-top dispenser.
Bottle-top dispenser allows accurate and safe dispensing of large volumes of common laboratory solutions directly from the bottle and is an instrument for accurate measuring of liquid drugs. It can perform precise and highly reproducible dispensing operations without wasting reagents. When handling corrosive liquids or solvents, it can provide safety assurance to operators and the laboratory environment, in addition, it can resist high temperature and pressure and chemical corrosion. It is suitable for general acids and bases and low concentrations of strong acids and bases as well as salts.

Bottle-top dispenser application
Bottle-top dispenser provides precise and highly reproducible dispensing operations without wasting reagents. It can provide safety assurance to operators and the laboratory environments when handling corrosive liquids or solvents. In addition, it is resistant to high temperature and pressure, and chemical corrosion. It is suitable for general acids and bases and low concentrations of strong acids and bases and salts, such as H3PO4, H2SO4, NaOH, KOH, etc. The whole process is simple and easy.
Structure of bottle top dispenser
Bottle top dispenser is suitable for hydrofluoric acid, strong acid, fuming acid, alkali, solvent and dangerous liquid, with integrated PTFE structure, the dispensing process and reagent contact material PTFE, sapphire two. Drain valve without spring structure, no risk of corrosion and metal ion contamination of reagents, suitable for trace analysis. Safety valve to enhance safety and security, to avoid leakage of fuming acid/odorous chemical liquid odor.
Bottle-top dispensers use the external piston principle to provide high accuracy for liquids with high viscosity, high density, or high vapor pressure. Because no aerosols are generated, the external piston ensures contamination-free operation. The use of new plastic materials improves chemical resistance.
a. Easy to operate. Just pull the sleeve up and down to complete the liquid distribution.
b. Safety drainage system. The built-in safety drainage system can stop the liquid from flowing out if the drainage pipe is not installed.
c. Safety drainage system. The built-in safety drainage system can stop the liquid from flowing out if the drainage pipe is not installed.
d. Drain tube safety cap. Screw on the safety cap in time after draining the liquid to prevent residual liquid from dripping down and reduce the risk of contacting reagents.
e. Embedded pipette. The length of the pipette can be adjusted for different sizes of reagent bottles.
f. The instrument is fixed on the reagent bottle and can be rotated 360℃. The orientation of the outlet tube is adjustable to ensure that the label of the reagent bottle is always in the visible position.
g. Standard with multiple bottle mouth conversion joints, suitable for a variety of specifications of reagent bottles.
h. Universal drainage tube made of PTFE with safety handle, full length 800mm. It is suitable for long-distance operation and easy insertion into smaller containers.

Use of bottle top dispenser

Lab bottle dispenser
a. Insert the liquid inlet tube and screw the nut tightly.
b. Insert the drain tube and screw it tightly.
c. Open the tube cap and place the removed cap under the drain tube.
d. Adjust the dispensing volume from zero to the corresponding value by rotating the scale.
e. Exhaust process: Make sure the cap of the drain tube is open, lift the piston for a distance and then press down, repeat the step 1-2 times and stop when the air bubbles are completely removed as seen through the observation window.
f. After the exhaust is finished, start to prepare for liquid distribution. (Note: If the exhaust has not been completed, please check whether the suction tube or other valves are installed correctly.)
g. Start preparing for dispensing after venting is complete. (Note: If the exhaust has not been completed, please check whether the suction tube or other valves are installed correctly.)
h. Adjust the dispensing volume from zero to the corresponding value by rotating the scale.
i. After use, press the piston to the bottom and then adjust the knob to zero scales to lock the bottle mouth dispenser.
j. Pipetting process: Lift the piston steadily to a high level and then press it equally steadily to the bottom, thus completing a dispensing process.
Precaution of bottle top dispenser
a. When installing the drain and inlet tubes, insert the orifice straight into the valve and tighten the screw cap to avoid violent installation and inserting the orifice badly.
b. Before use, inspect the instrument surface for damage. If problems occur (e.g., piston difficult to move, valve sticking or leaking).
c. Stop dispensing immediately. Before continuing use, clean the instrument according to the cleaning guidelines or contact the manufacturer.
d. Make sure that the inlet and discharge valves and all valves are properly installed and tightened before each use to avoid spattering from the piston movement.
e. Do not hold the cylinder sleeve or valve set to move a bottle-top dispenser that is in dispensing condition; a broken or loose cylinder can result in chemical injury to a person.
f. Do not press the piston while the safety cap is on the manifold.
g. When there is liquid in the cylinder, do not remove the distributor tube.
h. When moving the piston up and down, apply moderate force to make the piston move smoothly and uniformly.
i. Keep the dispensing tube away from the user or others when in use. Avoid splashing and dispense only to the appropriate container.
j. When draining the liquid, control the piston to move evenly and slowly, use a suitable container to receive it, and let the liquid go down the wall.
k. Please stop immediately when you encounter a malfunction when draining liquid, and do not operate violently to avoid further damage to the instrument.
l. After using the instrument, please fasten the safety cap of the drainage tube to prevent the liquid at the mouth of the drainage tube from dripping down due to gravity or absorbing water vapor in the air.
m. After using the instrument, please turn the scale adjustment ring to the "0" position to ensure safety.
n. Prohibited reagents: HF acid and bromine suspension. (If used, use a special bottle-top dispenser)
o. Do not get organic reagents on the surface of the instrument. If stained, clean it with water in time.
