How does UV sterilizer work?

The working principle of UV sterilizer is to use UV light to disinfect and sterilize. Ultraviolet is a kind of light wave invisible to the naked eye, which exists on the outer side of the violet ray end of the spectrum, so it is called ultraviolet. Ultraviolet light is one of the electromagnetic waves from solar radiation and is usually classified into four categories according to wavelength as follows
It is a special form of matter operation, a stream of unconnected particles. When UV radiation hits a microorganism, energy transfer and accumulation occur, and the accumulation results in the inactivation of the microorganism, thus achieving the purpose of disinfection. When bacteria and viruses absorb more than 3600~65000uW/c㎡ dose, it has a strong destructive power to deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) of bacteria and viruses, which can make bacteria and viruses lose their viability and reproduction power, and then destroy them to achieve disinfection and sterilization effect. On the one hand, UVC can mutate nucleic acids, prevent their replication, transcription blockade, and protein synthesis; on the other hand, the generation of free radicals can cause photoionization, which leads to cell death.
The germicidal principle of the UVC sterilizer is the use of UV lamp irradiation intensity, that is, the intensity of irradiation emitted by the UVC germicidal lamp, and the distance of the sterilized object is inversely proportional. When the irradiation intensity is certain, the longer the disinfection object is illuminated, the closer it is to the germicidal lamp, the better the germicidal effect, and vice versa, the worse.

How to install UV sterilizer?

1. UV sterilizer is suitable for indoor safety equipment, outdoor safety equipment must be installed with rainproof and dustproof facilities.

2. The UV sterilizer built-in quartz casing and UV lamp are fragile items, so they should be handled lightly during transportation, safe installation and use to avoid bumping and violent vibration.

3. The UV disinfector should be installed horizontally and safely, not vertically, and the barrel should not be subjected to external pressure, not to touch the quartz casing in the import and export.

4. UV disinfector should be safely installed at the outlet of the water tank or pool, if the water pressure is high, it should be safely installed in the low pressure area at the front of the pump inlet or with a pressure reducing valve.

5. Ultraviolet sterilizer safety installed at both ends of the equipment are left ≥ 1 m and 0.5 m space (high-power models should be left 1.6 m and 0.5 m space), so as to facilitate the replacement of the lamp, the electric control box should be not less than 0.5 m space in front of the maintenance.

6. The two ends of the UV disinfector inlet and outlet can be chosen as either one as the water inlet, one as the outlet, the customer to follow up their own convenience to choose.

7. The UV sterilizer should be equipped with bypass pipeline and shut-off valve for easy maintenance when it is safely installed.

8. Before commissioning for water operation, the construction residual debris in the pipeline should be flushed and cleared in a by-pass manner, and the water quality should be clean before opening the UV disinfector import and export valves.

9. UV disinfector safety installed after the completion of the first water test, check the leakage before opening the power supply. After all the lamps work normally for 3-5 minutes (the lamp indicator shows that the lamps are normal), only then can the water be turned on.
